I'm not going to lie. I LOVE to go shopping! Unfortunately, as soon as I buy something, I feel a little less excited about it. See, once I've started spending, the possibilities aren't so wide anymore, now I don't have as much to spend, so the buying field narrows. I'd like to say that I just save it all for grand purchases, but this is not the case.
BUT
I've been thinking about a big purchase for a while now, saving my pennies if you will. And I finally did it. I'm pretty sure I'm in over my head, and won't even know how to use my new gadget, but I'll do my best to figure it out.

Open Mouth, Insert Foot
Some of you may know that I have quite the talent for inserting my foot in my mouth. For those of you who haven't experienced the wonder of Monica, now's your chance.
Yesterday I had the opportunity to attend a baptism in the valley. The baptism was very touching, but that's not what this story is about. I was really impressed to see however the number of priesthood brethren assembled there. The bishopric, high-priest group leaders, home teachers, and stake presidency were all in attendance. This also happened to be the stake that I grew up in as a teenager and went to Jr. high in. At the conclusion of the meeting I took the opportunity to approach the Stake President. He had been a Bishop in the area when I was younger and had also married my parents many years before. We were in a circle with several of the brethren chatting when I mentioned that I had had quite a crush on his son when I was younger. To this he inquired, "Oh really, which one?" I replied, "Todd of course." His smile grew really wide as he said, "Oh good, he's right here."
Yep, he was one of the members of the bishopric standing 3 feet away.
The only reply I could think of as my face went as scarlet as my pink skirt was, "well, I think I'll head outside now." The crowd went wild with laughter as I scooted out the door, and I could hear them all the way to my car.

Spring Changes
I love spring! Everything is new and bright. I get so excited to see my little daffodils trying to bloom even if the wind is blowing like a tornado.
I'm also excited about getting things back in order, especially my house, yard, kids, blog, and exercise routine. Things have been pretty hectic around here since I started working last summer. Rodger started telling me in November, "you know this is temporary, right?" I used to be able to just pick up and go with him anytime he had free time. We would often go to lunch or the gym, or even on short vacations. Unfortunately, working around two business schedules is much harder. Fortunately, Monday is my last day of work. I'm still a little sad to be leaving, but glad to be back home. The best part about the whole experience is that I now know that I don't want to be a nurse, and I will be finishing my degree in physical therapy assisting. I was trying to go back to school for spring semester, but between the family, the calling, and the job, I just couldn't pull it all together.
Rodger's very excited, I know he much prefers me to be at home. I think he gets some weird manly pleasure from being the bread-winner. The boys are excited. They get up every morning and ask if I have to go to work, it doesn't matter to them if they are going to be gone to school all day. They are just more content if I am home for some reason.
I know it sounds like I am trying to talk myself into being happy about the change, but I really am. I just have an overdeveloped sense of guilt and I am already missing the clinic. I'm going to miss the patients and my boss. I have learned SO much, and have formed so many good friendships. Thank you all for a great experience!
Oh, and honey,
I'm HOME!!!!!!!!!!!!
